Suay Aksoy was the organiser of CAMOC’s conference in Istanbul in September 2009. Since 2008 she has been the Director of Cultural Heritage and Museums at the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, and on 10 September 2010 she became a member of ICOM’s 2010-2013 Strategic Plan Committee.

She teaches a graduate course in Museum Management at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Institute of Social Sciences and also an undergraduate course in Museum Studies at Bogazici University, School of Western Languages and Literatures.

Eloisa Zell

Eloisa Zell was a prominent member of the ICOM secretariat for 27 years until her retirement at the end of 2009. In view of her great service to CAMOC we have made her an honorary member of CAMOC.

It was the support of Eloisa at our first meeting in Moscow in 2005 which helped create CAMOC. In fact, it was Eloisa who invented our acronym. We owe her a considerable debt
